Camex Partners with Customers for Success

Located in Nisku, Alberta, Camex Equipment is celebrating over 25 years of successfully supplying western Canada and the international market with quality new and used equipment. Stocking one of the most extensive lines of equipment available in Western Canada, Camex also manufactures high quality custom vacuum, tank and oilfield trucks.

Pat Wilson started Camex Equipment working out of the back of his pickup truck in 1992. With one other employee, Wilson originally focused on upgrading and refurbishing used oilfield equipment for resale and rental.

Today, Camex has expanded to 3 locations in Nisku with an inventory of over 1,200 new, used and refurbished specialized transportation trucks and trailers.

With over 60 employees, Camex occupies over 37 acres of land, housing extensive inventory yards and manufacturing facilities.

The number one buyer of Kenworth Trucks and Doepker Trailers in Western Canada, Camex exemplifies customer service and satisfaction. What catapulted Camex to such a rapid rise in such a short time? Camex attributes its success to the strength of the oil patch, but also to strong marketing and maintaining a staff rich in experience.

“We’re sensitive to our customer’s needs. I guess you could say we help our customers be successful.”

Part of the Camex Philosophy is the belief that each person should seek to understand his or her innate gift in order to work with passion and a positive attitude.

Camex maintains the same philosophy with its customers. The goal at Camex is to treat customers as partners. The expert staff at Camex knows how to provide the information, tools, and support customers need to ensure success.

“We have five Camex vacuum trucks in our fleet, states Dan O’Connor, Operations Manager, TSL Industries Inc. out of Kola, Manitoba – two Kenworth tandems, two Kenworth tri-drives and one Mack tri-drive. Two of these units haul drilling mud on the rigs. The last new truck we purchased went to Enbridge Pipelines and is still working out there – the only time it comes to the shop is for its regular service work. I would recommend to anyone building a vacuum unit to have it done at Camex. We have other units that we bought used, different makes, but nothing compares to the performance and reliability of the Camex units – Those units have outperformed the competition in the field many times. Camex has really helped us grow our business.”
